Who we are
We are Kaleido Weddings, V (left) and Lucy (right), two versatile creatives with backgrounds in fine art, photography and design. In late 2018, we joined forces to create what has grown into an inclusive and story-led wedding photography practice.
What we offer
At the heart of our work is a love for people and their stories. As artists and photographers, we're endlessly fascinated by human connection and what makes each person, couple, or community unique.
Photography wasn't part of some grand business plan for either of us. We found ourselves here because we fell in love with photography's ability to preserve moments, build connections, and tell stories that matter. That's what continues to inspire our work every day.
Story time.. How we began…
A few years ago our beautiful friends (the ones in this photo) asked us to photograph their wedding, we were pleasently surprised at how natural and easy it felt to document a wedding. The snowball effect happened. The positive feedback from our first wedding, who kindly recommended us to many other couples, led to shooting more and more weddings each year. It was easy for us to fall in love with capturing special moments in people’s lives, the process of getting to know people and documenting their connection.

Our style and values
Some clients have called us chameleons in the past, we like that! We blend in with the environment and love to capture the essence of the moment, both from a distance and close. We empathise with couples that can find being in front of the camera quite intimidating. To make sure the shoot goes as smoothly and comfortably as possible, we prioritise communication, always exploring options that seamlessly blend candid and posed shots. Working with us you can expect laughter, silliness, fun, openness, understanding and kindness.
Inclusivity and diversity
We are a queer owned business focusing on creating an environment where all individuals feel welcomed, respected, and valued. The wedding industry has a lot of work to do in terms of equality and inclusivity, but for now we can actively make small differences. We like to work with people who share our values.
Ethical at heart
Each year we strive to adopt better methods in our photography and videography practice in order to become more sustainable and caring for the planet. An important aspect in the way we operate as a business is making sure we keep our work digitally, we use mostly cloud storage rather than hard drives, we deliver our photos via online galleries rather than via physical products such as USB sticks, we work with an online ethical bank, we do our bookkeeping digitally, and we primarily buy used gear.
Additionally, we strive to keep our carbon footprint low by working with local clients and using public transport whenever possible. We currently do all our post production in house without using AI Image Editors since we strongly believe in human touch at every stage, from our first call to the final gallery delivery. We like to cull and edit and take our time to choose the best moments. We care deeply about human creativity and labour.
Our Vision
We advocate a philosophy rooted in love, equality, and the celebration of diversity. We specialise in capturing the unique and authentic stories of weddings, with a dedicated focus on queer and feminist couples. Our commitment extends beyond photography; it's a pledge to stand as supporters of LGBTQIA+ rights, to prioritise love for all, and to be allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
In our lens, every love story is not just documented but elevated to a narrative that reflects the richness of human connection. We are inclusive, recognising the importance of portraying love in all its forms. Our mission is to go beyond the mainstream, deliberately seeking out and cherishing the love stories of those from marginalised groups.
Choosing us means embracing a philosophy that values not only stunning photographs but also the profound impact of showcasing the love of every couple, especially those whose stories may be overlooked. We are not just photographers; we are storytellers, advocates, and partners in ensuring that every love story gets the recognition and representation it deserves.
Second Shooters
We work with a trusted team of second shooters who have been with us for several years. On dates where we’re booked for two weddings, especially during peak season, we both attend different weddings as the lead photographers, each paired with one of our second shooters.
On all other occasions, one of us will photograph your day as the main shooter while the other supports as the second shooter. If, for your wedding, one of our second shooters will be joining instead of both of us, we’ll always let you know in advance.
